Luke Hughes is the youngest of the three Hughes siblings, born on September 9, 2003. However, he does not have a sister. In fact, he has two elder brothers. 

Like his older brothers, he played for the U.S. National Team Development Program (USNTDP) and was drafted in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, going fourth overall to the Detroit Red Wings in 2021.

Luke is a defenseman who combines size, speed, skill, and vision. He is currently playing for the University of Michigan in the NCAA, where he is teammates with another top prospect, Owen Power.

Luke has also represented the United States at various international tournaments, winning gold at the 2020 World U17 Hockey Challenge and bronze at the 2021 IIHF World U18 Championship.

Quinn Hughes is the oldest of the three Hughes siblings, born on October 14, 1999.

He also played for the USNTDP and was drafted in the first round of the NHL Entry Draft, going seventh overall to the Vancouver Canucks in 2018.

Quinn is a defenseman who is known for his elite skating, puck handling, and offensive instincts. He made his NHL debut in 2019 and was a finalist for the Calder Trophy as the rookie of the year.

Ellen Weinberg-Hughes is a former hockey player who played college hockey at the University of New Hampshire, where she won three national championships and was a two-time All-American.

She also played for Team USA at the 1992 IIHF Women’s World Championship, where she won a silver medal. She later became a teacher and a hockey mom, supporting her children’s careers.
