Natalie Morales, 49, made a bold move to leave NBC News after being with the station after 22 years. The television personality is set to become the newest co-host of CBS's "The Talk."

She announced her departure to her colleagues on October 1, 2021, in a note. The star recalled her earlier days as a Hartford affiliate at NBC News before jumping to MSNBC.

Morales shared how she ended up getting posts on "Dateline" and the "Today" show and felt it was finally time for her to spread her wings for a new adventure just as her oldest son, Josh, starts college.

The anchor said she wanted to start something new for the second half of her life. On Tuesday, she took to her Instagram account to share some images from her time with her new family.

The first photo was a mirror selfie that showed her smiling as she took a picture while a hairstylist worked on her hair. In the post's caption, she urged the "fun" to begin before sharing her disbelief about being on set.

Besides her recent big move to "The Talk," Morales and her husband, Joe Rhodes, once uprooted their children in 2018.

She concluded her post by revealing to her fans that she would see them officially on "The Talk" on October 11, 2021. In a second post, she showed herself bonding with her new colleagues.

Morales uploaded an image that was taken outside showing "The Talk's" co-hosts posing with her. She even tagged Amanda Kloots, Sheryl Underwood, Jerry O'Connell, and Akbar Gbajabiamila, explaining the group had been taking part in a promotion day and writing:

“Wow I’m so lucky to work with these four awesome people!”

In 2006, Morales joined "Today" as a national correspondent before reporting for NBCUniversal News' platforms. During her time with "Today," she worked as its third-hour co-host and news anchor.

In 2016, the show named her their West Coast anchor, and in 2020, she became an official correspondent for "Dateline NBC."

Besides her recent big move to "The Talk," Morales and her husband, Joe Rhodes, once uprooted their children in 2018. The parents and their sons, Josh and Luke, moved from New York to live in Los Angeles.

The television personality said the change was just a bucket list thing for her and her husband. At the time, Josh was going to 7th grade while his brother was set to start second, and their parents felt it was time for a change.
